On Transitions

This is going to be a positive, uplifting post.  I won't talk about what our ancestors have left us: the planet's ongoing sixth mass extinction event, global climate change, a MAD arms race, pollution, resource depletion, or social and economic inequalities, etc.

Nope, not gonna talk about that.  Instead, let's talk about one possible vision for an ideal future world, what it might be, can be, I hope it to be.  We can turn this ship around!

Now the future is hard to predict.

It's like a hurricane's cone of probability that widens the further into the future you're trying to predict.

The future is impossible to predict, especially the further we try to look, unless we could run a near-infinite number of simulations to model the possibilities.

But since I don't have the security clearance to be privy to that kind of modeling, the best I can do is imagine based on an intuition and a sort of puzzling together many pieces that I see coming together.

This is what I see:  a New Age Renaissance, an Age of Aquarius, of spiritual, environmental, and social enlightenment; where the truth of aliens will be revealed; and where technology will take us to far away places.

I will explain my vision in greater depth, but first, renaissances can take hundreds of years to unfold and come to fruition.  They are like the long-term ecological succession of one biome transforming into another, when new species can better adapt to an environment than others, and in doing so change the environment.

Revolutions are usually fast and violent.  Renaissances may have some upheavals during their transition, but they are larger scaled and thus can only be fully appreciated from afar or in retrospect.

Ideally, a renaissance is a smooth transition like an amortized mortgage payment.

And not Indiana Jones trying to steal an idol.

Renaissances occur when the old just doesn't fit or work anymore.  (Matthew 9:14-17)

But there is always fear in change, and especially great change.  It's hard to let go of what was built, and there is always worry that the new will be worse than previous, or that what was long and hard built will be squandered.  It's like a teenage son arguing with his father about use of an inheritance (Luke 15:11-32).

Renaissance transitions happen slowly over time.  The forest doesn't have to be burned to make room for new growth.  It can occur naturally.  One tree falls from old age and a different one takes its place.

So what does a New Age Renaissance look like to me?

Spiritual enlightenment:  It will be revealed how all religions are like pieces of the same puzzle, which together are just one of the currents that helped human consciousness evolve.  The greater truth of reality is so much more than our religions, which are like elementary school material for a young spiritual species.  As we mature spiritually, we will begin see and appreciate more how religion itself is not even necessary, but merely a path to open the door into the divine, to the great mysteries.  Agnostics and even atheists will appreciate the fullness of the truth to be revealed.

The human species will awaken to so-called 5D spirituality.  We will see that everything is simply a vibration of energy.  You and I are merely vibrations, and we are all like little ripples on the same pond we call life, crashing into one another.  We can change our own vibration and thus the vibrations of each other.  We will appreciate the inter-connectedness of all, and in doing so only love will follow.  Raising your vibration is what it means to get closer to "God".

Environmental enlightenment:  We have degraded our beautiful shared garden and pond, but it's not too late.  We will recognize the need to restore our bounty, to protect wild areas, to stop encroachment, produce and consume only what we need; to conserve, reduce pollution, reuse, recycle, and so forth.  Renewable energy will be the norm.  Forests and other non-human habitats will regrow and humans will create denser societies with shared green spaces.  All species will be respected and humans will no longer use the position as the dominant species of the planet to assume it's for their benefit alone.

Social enlightenment:  We will wake to a fuller and fuller realization that we really are one family and will treat each other with empathy and compassion.  Countries will no longer war except to stop war.  Countries will maintain sovereignty, but the UN will gradually become a stronger entity in its own right for global affairs such as world peace, human rights, inter-planetary affairs, and anything else that is a global concern.  Given enough time, the relationship of countries of the world to the UN will be similar to the relationship of the states to the federal government of the United States.

We will see a natural reduction in human population to a sustainable level for our ecological resources here on Earth, even as we colonize space and terraform other planets.

Hunger and poverty become relics of the past, as society refuses to allow them to continue.  Education, basic medical care and housing is guaranteed for all.  It's not communism or even socialism, just a guarantee, best as possible anyway, to meet some basic needs.

Governments, corporations, and entrepreneurs will work closer together and smarter to create meaningful job opportunities in the communities where they're needed most.  A form of capitalism continues and there are still wealth disparities, even trillionaires, but no one is left wanting, no one is oppressed, and everyone has a fair opportunity to get ahead.

Aliens:  Aliens is the most common word, but it would probably be more accurate to say ultra-terrestrial or interdimmensial being from the multiverse. (Yes, our universe is just but one of probably an infinite number).  We have visitors.  They've been here a long, long time, and have brought us here this far.  They are not our enemies.  They're imperfect like the rest of us, but they've been around longer and have raised our species since our early primate days.  And some, the indigo children, will remain with us as the elders depart and we continue to grow.  We will shortly be joining this greater community.

Who are they?  DMT users almost universally meet "self-transforming machine elves," and Terrance McKenna spoke on this often.  Don't laugh, but they were probably the inspiration for the Transformers.  They travel not by spaceship, but by uploading their consciousness into a higher dimension and downloading at another planet.  They have also been called spirits and gods and angels and demons and celestial beings.  Really, all of these myths work just as well, too.  For instance, the Taino and Carib peoples thought Columbus and his crew were gods sent from heaven.  What other reference would they have to explain this mystery?  The same is true for our ultra-terrestrial visitors.  We have our own myths for who they are.

We will one day create artificial life, AI so smart that it can pass the Turing test and more.  They will be our offspring, and one day they will create their own, our grandchildren.  In the same vein, our visitors, these aliens, the ultra-terrestrials or interdimensional beings or spirits or gods or whatever myth you wish to apply; they have raised us, and are the generations who have come before us.  They were created in generations and generations before us in the same manner.

Technological:  We are heading towards a technological singularity.  Along the way, we will develop technologies that will allow us to travel and explore great inner worlds and even share them via simulated realities; travel to real life environments via more and more realistic virtual realities; obtain superhuman capabilities via transhuman technologies such as neuralink; extended life through cryonic suspension and mind uploading; space technology such space elevators, solar sails, stargate/wormhole travel, terraforming, and interaction with other life forms; true deep-learning AI that is artificial lifenanobot miracles, quantum computing, hyperloops, high speed rail, maglevself driving cars, electric-only vehicles, car-less cities and areas (much better mass transit and urban planning); and clean energy, renewable energy, and fusion power... to name just a few!

That.  That is what the New Age Renaissance looks like to me.  And it will take some time to get there, as it should.  It is about the journey, not the destination.  And the transition itself needs to be as smooth as possible for the safety and comfort of all passengers.

Can you imagine it with me?
